Renegade Shaman
Who Is the Rev. Mother Marcy J. Gordon?
A Wall Street technology lawyer, Marcy is also a singer, songwriter, musician, actress, software entrepreneur, author, columnist, ordained priest (according to the order of Melchizedek - see members.aol.com/sanbeloved/front_main_page.htm), certified ARCH master (see www.archhealing.com) and renegade shaman. Marcy's monthly column Psychicbabblesm first appeared regularly in the popular astrology webzine USED KARMA. Psychicbabble archives are currently available at www.psyplan.com. This site also contains information about the astrology software company Marcy co-founded in 1985, Psychic Planner, Inc. (PPI) and PPI's flagship product, the PsyPlantm Personal Planning System. Marcy and her companion Bryan perform regularly in acoustic clubs in New York City under the name "Bryan and Marcy." In addition, Marcy has an alternative healing practice. Her educational ministry, Public Intellectuals for Social and Spare Changesm, is dedicated to spreading spiritual truth through the Gospel of Oneness.
What Is A Renegade Shaman?
Shamans are found in virtually all human cultures. Known also as medicine people, kahunas and faith healers, shamans are people with special sensitivities to the worlds of heart and spirit. These people are gifted with the knowledge of handling energy. These gifts can take many forms, such as prophecy and healing. Different tools exist in different shamanic traditions for divination for use in healing those sick in body, mind and soul. Shamans exist in virtually all human societies. They practice their craft overtly or covertly, according to cultural dictates.
A renegade shaman is a person who has learned to handle shamanic power outside of any particular school or system of shamanic initiation. A Swarthmore College graduate with a degree in Psychology, Marcy has done extensive reading on spirituality, modern physics, metaphysics and symbolism. Marcy believes she acquired her psychic and healing powers in infancy during a near-death experience. She has attended numerous workshops and sacred circles with shamans from many different backgrounds. In the course of her studies, Marcy has mastered the arts of tarot, palmistry, face reading and shamanic healing. She has exceptional intuitive insight into astrology.
Marcy has helped many people achieve instantaneous relief from chronic pain. Through sound, trance, guided meditation and directed energy, Marcy opens ordinary people to the metaphysical worlds described in the Kabbalah, the Tibetan mysteries and other sacred scriptures -- often with remarkable effects.
